Review of the work

This book has a decided administrative approach and its main source is the current legislation in each subject under study. It consists of 5 chapters. The first of them is dedicated to the study of the Government of Spain. It begins by analyzing the fit of the Government, representative of the executive power, within the system of division of powers established in the Spanish Constitution of 1978, and its relations with the rest of the powers. Likewise, the composition of the Government and the status of its members are studied, with special dedication to the figure of the President, due to his political relevance, as well as the political, regulatory and administrative powers of the Government. The study of its collegiate bodies is also addressed, as well as the collaboration and support bodies. The second chapter analyzes the composition and functioning of the Public Administration, as well as the constitutional and legal principles that inform it. It includes the study of the composition and powers of the administrative bodies, the activity of the Public Administrations, the electronic Administration, the sanctioning power or the cooperation between the different Public Administrations. Finally, a brief reference is made to the concept of Transparency and Good Governance. In the third chapter, the organization and structure of the General Administration of the State of territorial base is studied. In the first place, we proceed to the analysis of the central organization, of each of its superior and managerial bodies. Next, its territorial organization and the Administration of the State Abroad are studied. The fourth chapter delves into the so-called Institutional Public Sector, made up of different entities, which the legislation includes within the Public Sector as a whole, which do not have a territorial base and are created to manage a certain area of competence, seeking greater effectiveness in administrative actions. Finally, the fifth chapter deals with the territorial organization of the State. The first part is dedicated to the study of the Local Administration (municipalities and provinces) and the second to the Autonomous Communities. At the end of each chapter, a summary is included with its main contents, in order to synthesize the studied matter. Likewise, a list is added with the basic legislation used for the composition of each subject, whose study is recommended, and another list with websites of interest, mainly from Public Administrations. For the study of the different topics, it is recommended that, along with the book, the laws recommended in each chapter be presented in order to complete the information and knowledge of each subject.
